Class Place for Sonya in Loughgall
Cool FM DJ Sonya Mac and Superdrive’s Safron Thomas gained their first class placing of the year in the Rainbow Telecom Loughgall Country Park Rally last Saturday 1st July 2006.

Finishing 3rd in class and 64th overall in only their second rally in the pink Ka, the only all girl team were delighted with the result.

Sonya Said,
“We had a great day in Loughgall and really enjoyed the rally. Getting our first trophy at the prize giving was amazing!”

“The North Armagh Motor Club runs a fantastic event in Loughgall, the stages are mighty and the class of competitors at the event says everything.”

Sonya and Safron will also be competing next Thursday 13th July at the Roy Haslett Bishopscourt Stages, the second round of the PHP Northern Ireland Clubman Championship.

The pair intends to compete in all the remaining rounds of the 2006 Pacenotes Northern Ireland Rally Championship.

Sonya and Safron’s sponsors are Adelaide & Roadwise, Pirelli, Mascott Construction, Velocity Paintball@Superdrive, McCance Steel, Signlines, Superdrive and Cool FM.

North Armagh Motorcycle and Car Club are running a Single Venue Stage Rally on Saturday 1st July 2006 at Loughgall Country Park Co Armagh.

The Event will be decided over 8 Special Stages on 100% Tarmac roads within the grounds of the Country Park and will contain 90 two wheel drive Rally Cars. .

We are most grateful to Rainbow Telecom and Armagh City and District Council for their Sponsorship. .

Admission is by programme only at a cost of £5.00 children under the age of 16 free, with the action starting at 9.30am. .

Last years winner Camillis Bradley is seeded at number 1 followed by Wesley Patterson and Alistair Cochrane at 2 and 3 all driving MK2 Escorts. Previous winner Brain Armstrong is at 4 with Uncle Norman Armstrong at 5, also in Escorts. Sonia Mac from Cool FM will also be taking part in her Ford Ka.
