Omagh College in partnership with ‘On Track Training’ and ‘OCNM Open College’ are proud to announce an NVQ Level 2 in ‘Motorsports Incident Marshalling’. This new innovation has been credited by MSA and Omagh College, the only facilitator in N. Ireland to be first to offer such a course.

Omagh College are focusing on recruiting New and Existing Marshals and believe that volunteers should be able to achieve something, especially a qualification for the sport that they love.
This course is the first of its kind for Motorsport, providing the most up-to-date training which includes Fire Management Techniques, First Aid, Communication Techniques and how to deal with different situations etc entailing theory and plenty of practical opportunities using the most sophisticated equipment.
The main criteria of this course for New Marshals are to attend a minimum of 20 events and record their experiences in a log book as evidence. Current marshals can be credited on the number of events, depending on their experience.
Over the last six months, extensive PR work has been carried out with 50% of the applicants marshalling for the first time. In recent months this course has proved invaluable to local motor clubs and local stage commanders in providing marshals and helping to reduce the short fall of marshals.
There are no special skills required and is open to males and females from 16years and upwards. You will receive a recognised qualification which could lead to plenty of prospects such as training to becoming a Stage Commander or Safety Officer and even the chance to be involved with a Rally Team.
