CRONIN TRIES OUT HIS NEW CHARGE FOR 2006

Keith Cronin carried out the first test in his new left hand drive Group A 206 this week and announced himself more than happy with the results so far.

Cronin Rallysport purchased the car at the end of the year and intend to contest the Forestry Championship and selected tarmac rounds.

Speaking on the performance of the car Keith said
"The car has a lot more power than the 106 we used to finish second overall in the Cork 20 national rally and obviously we have high hopes.

The car handles beautifully as it is and with a few more tweaks here and there we are confident of some good results in the coming year.

The switch to left hand drive has been smoother than I thought and we have also aquired a left hand drive recce car so we can be more exact with our notes."

Keith will have Anthony O Connell on the notes again for 2006.
