Modern Tyre Service Announce Sponsorship Deal
At a press unveiling today at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham, local tyre company Modern Tyre Service announced a sponsorship deal with current Irish Tarmac Rally Champion Eugene Donnelly.

Eugene Donnelly from Maghera is one of the top rally drivers in Ireland and is the first driver in Ireland to have won all 3 major Rally Championships. Eugene will be contesting the 2006 Irish Tarmac Championship in his Toyota Corolla WRC.

This sponsorship deal demonstrates Modern Tyre Services dedication to the motorsport arena in Ireland. Rallying is a sport which continues to deliver massive media coverage which has significant appeal to Modern Tyre Services customers throughout Ireland.

Commenting on the agreement Stephen Shaw, Modern Tyre Services Group Sales and Marketing Manager said “We are very excited about this new deal with Eugene for the 2006 rally season. Our sponsorship deal with Eugene raises our association with rallying to the highest level providing an excellent marketing platform to continue to raise brand awareness, build brand preference through Kumho Tyres and drive extra revenue”.

The deal consists of the following
- Kumho Tyres will be the official tyre supplier of the team
- Dominant branding on the car, drivers overalls and other ancillary elements
- Significant marketing activity including hospitality, merchandising and promotional opportunities including access to test days and track days
- Behind the scenes access to the Modern Tyre Service backed car and team enabling your readers, listeners and viewers exclusive content allowing them to feel part of what is going on.

Remarking on his new sponsor for 2006, Eugene said “I am delighted to have Modern Tyre Service on board with the team as they provide a valuable link with Kumho Tyres. We had a small but successful partnership for the Donegal rally last year with them and I am looking forward to all fresh initiatives they can bring to the team.”

Additional news will be available through a new Modern Tyre Service website due to be launched in February, featuring the latest on event photographs and an opportunity to download wallpapers and screensavers



Modern Tyre Service is Northern Ireland’s local tyre company with 26 branches province wide making them the largest independent tyre retailers in the province. The Eugene Donnelly sponsorship deal joins an existing portfolio of sports, sponsorship and media advertising agreements that compliments the groups target audiences.

Tarmac and National Championships to be contested again.
New overall sponsor for Eugene's Tarmac Championship assault.

Donnelly Motorsport were delighted to announce a new overall team sponsor for their assault on the Pirelli Tarmac Championship 2006. Esker Bus and Coach, based in Kilbeggan Co.Westmeath will become the main sponsor. Eugene stated "we are delighted with this announcment, but equally happy that all our existing sponsors have re-signed as well".

On the driving front Eugene and Paul Kiely will again contest the Tarmac Championship as they attempt to make it a hatrick of wins.
Charlie will again contest the National series.

"I am delighted that everything is now in place, there was a lot of speculation that Paul might not be sitting this year, but that was never in doubt and we are all looking forward to Galway in February."

OPEN INVITATION TO PRE SEASON DINNER
Walsh's Hotel in Maghera will be the venue for Donnelly Motorsport's pre-season get together.
This is an informal dinner with entertainment afterwards.
Both drivers will be present as will their all conquering Corolla.

The evening will get underway at 8.30 on January 20th.
