WRC cars: In the context of the location of the steering, cars manufactured after 1 January 2005 must comply with FIA Appendix J, Article 7.3 in all MI permitted events. This, in effect, means that all cars built before this date are perfectly legal in their current form, regardless of the location of the steering.

Class 16: National rallies run in conjunction with International events may include one class for homologated cars whose drivers do not hold an International competition licence. These drivers must hold a National A or National B licence, as appropriate to the engine size of their car. WRC cars are not eligible for this class.

Junior Rallies: In the case of a 2 or 3 day event, when a Junior Rally as defined in Appendix N, Article 3.1.2 is included, covering the final 4 stages on the final day of the rally, the maximum number of additional starters permitted is 40.
