ALAN RING LEADS THE TOP PART WEST COAST RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
Alan Ring in his Munster joinery backed Subaru Impreza N11 is the overall leader of the the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship after round 5 the Clare Stages Rally.

The Castleisland man has a four-point lead over long time leader Noel Redmond heading into the final round The Kerry Mini Stages Rally. A non-finish on the Clare Stages Rally saw Redmond loose the lead, which he had held since the opening round in Laois. Former Top Part Champion Niall Maguire is in third just 1 point off Redmond with Group N Sensation Michael Curran in fourth and currently leading the Group N Category,

With 20 points available to the overall winner on the Kerry Mini Stages and No WRC cars allowed on Mini Stages in Ireland. The Top Part Champion for 2005 should come from one of these four,

In 5th place is Charlie Donnelly fresh from his victory on the Clare Stages Rally, 1 point behind is the currant Group N National Champion Willie Fannin in 6th, Eamon Daly holds 7th a point ahead of Donegal’s Joe McHugh in 8th. Killarney’s Kevin O Donoghue is 9th and Gabriel Martin rounds off the top 10. The Overall 2 wheel drive leader is West Limerick Rally Spares Boss Aidian Walsh.

Leading Overall Co Driver on 77pts after round 5 is Diarmuid Falvey who has lead from round 1, A top 6 finish should be enough on the final round to clinch the Title for the popular Beaufort man, 2nd place goes to Tralee man Sean Moriarty on 69 pts, We can expect to see sean sitting with one of the top crews on the final round, Donegal’s Fabian McShane is 3rd just 2 points ahead of Mick Courtney in 4th, Paddy Toner holds 5th from Francis Regan 6th, Ger Healy is in 7th followed by Joe O Leary 8th, Alan Moran 9th and John Kearney 10th It promises to be an exciting finish to this very popular series on the Final Round
