One of the many crews with new machinery to put
through its paces this weekend, Colm and Ger recently
took delivery of a fully active, all singing, all
dancing MSP Motorsport Subaru Impreza N10. Replacing
the venerable N8 that saw them through last years
championship, the N10 should plug the gaps in
performance where the old car suffered.
Colm, highly excited by the prospect of his new steed
said “We haven’t done a whole lot of mileage in the
car as yet but first impressions are that it is
fantastic. The old car used to be slightly short on
power when trying to drive out of low speed junctions
–the N10 should be a whole different ball game”
Pirelli and Shell Racing fuels have come on board with
the Limerick crew for 2005, Colm returning to the
rubber that helped him to victory in the Focus
Championship and joining up with Shell – Ferrari’s
choice of fuel – enough said.
The MRallying team also welcome Trackcare Engineering,
Garry O’Keeffe Plant and Haulage, Heatlink floor
heating specialists, the Connemara Gateway Hotel and
Vanity Case beauticians on board for the first event
of the season. Delighted with this support, Colm
reckoned “It’s fantastic to get this amount of support
straight off – I’m very thankful for all my sponsors
and hope to repay their faith is us this weekend!”
The First Choice Flooring Galway International kicks
off this Saturday morning from Eyre Square beofre the
cars head for loops of stages based in the Oranmore
area on Saturday and the Ballinasloe area on Sunday.
