Shaun has just returned from Norway where he worked in the famous John Haugland Winter Rally School and competed in three events whilst there.

The rally consists of 9 stages and is based in Ballina, Co. Mayo. The event will act as a testing event for the British Peugeot 206 Super Cup, which starts in two weeks time. Although Shaun wants a good result in Mayo he must also ensure that the car finishes the rally completely undamaged due to the short time scale between events.

Having spent almost two months in Norway the 22-year-old will have to adjust from driving on snow and ice to competing on tarmac. The Irish team is currently on top form and winning their class following three rounds of the Norwegian National Championship.

\"I am really looking forward to the Mayo Stages, it\'s my first event at home since I won the Motorsport Ireland Billy Coleman Award and I am also looking forward to competing on tarmac again.\" commented Shaun.

The team is competing in the Mayo Stages Rally with help from McCormack Fuels, Fallon Oils, Cawley Commercials, Mayo Truck Spares, Pearse Road Tyres, Sligo and Mullen Express Transport.
