He also clinched the Best Junior Award, for drivers under the age of twenty-five, and the Junior Dealer Cup representing McGinley Motors, Letterkenny.

Peugeot Sport also decided that Shaun should be presented with the Mark Fisher Memorial Trophy in memory of the late driver who was a previous winner of the Peugeot Super 106 Cup.

The final award of the night was for second place overall in the championship. Yet again the Peugeot Cup battle went right to the last round with Shaun loosing out by just five points to fellow Irishman, Gary Jennings.

These awards top off an outstanding year for the 22 year old. It is a year in which Shaun improved his driving ability immensely and moved himself into the forefront of both national and international rallying.
