2002 Season Approaches for Group Motors Rallying

After a rather quiet season of Irish Rallying in 2001 due to Foot and Mouth, The Group Motors Rallying Team from West Belfast are getting geared up for the 2002 season opener the IrishMobiles.com West Cork Rally, which is round one of the 023 Tiles Sourthern Four Rally Championship.

GMR will arrive in West Cork armed with their 2ltr 16v Open Kadett GTe which is all set for a season of tough and flat out rallying against some of Irelands best drivers. This year GMR will again tackle the full Sourthern Four Rally Championship with the help of new sponsor \'Kit Kat\' aswell as previous sponsors - Goodfellas, Giv-Ran Auto Parts and DP Autos.

Kieran O\'Neill and co-driver Diarmuid Falvey will start the two day West Cork Rally on Saturday 16th March, from the Quality Hotel in Clonakilty at number 23, again hoping for a good result like their 10th overall finish in 2000. West Cork will see rivals such as Derek Smith and John Stangle also fighting a very tough 2wd battle set over the 16 fast and rough stages split over two days.
