"It is with much regret that we bring you the new of the CANCELLATION of the 2017 Eamon Harvey Memorial Navigation Trial. We wish to thank everyone who worked with us and sent in an entry, however, it was not viable to run the event with only 9 entries. In recent times our sport went through a difficult period when it came to Insurance and our governing body Motorsport Ireland worked to get a deal in place to ensure the future of our sport. However, with the final green light only coming last Friday, this time delay has had an impact on our event with some competitors holding off in applying for a licence until after the deal was reached.
A huge amount of effort, time and preparation work went into our 2017 event, however, it was not possible for us to run with this insufficient number of entries."
