This Year’s Premier Auto Parts Munster autotest Championship was hard fought this year, with Gerry Lynch and Alan Clarke battling all season for the overall title.

Gerry Lynch (TCS) started off the championship beating Alan for the first five events. Alan Clarke (Mini Special) then was able to show he still had it in him beating Gerry in the next three rounds. The rest of the season was a battle between Lynch and Clarke until on the final round in Kerry saw Alan in the lead by one point.

It was down to the wire, but Lynch gave an outstanding performance winning the event by an amazing 32 seconds. Alan Clarke will have to wait yet another year to try and get his hands on the Championship title.
