ROUNDS 1 & 2 - 2005 BIO-TECH NATIONAL AUTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP

John Cavanagh and Ger Brennan both got the Bio-Tech National Autocross Championship off to a good start in the Birr AC opening rounds at Cloughjordan at the weekend, with Cavanagh’s Rover V8 Special winning both events outright, while Brennan’s Fiesta was best of the saloons each day.

There were class doubles for Owen Kelly’s Corsa and the Sunbeam of Whitby Moynan, while the Cavanagh family also shared the honours in the large specials’ class, with Willie taking the Rover ro top place on Saturday, and his father Billy doing the same on Sunday.
