CMC hosted the 3rd round of the Munster Autocross Championship at Campells Quarry just outside Clonakilty today. The event ran smoothly and to schedule and was a credit to COC Martin Godfrey and his team.

Last year's winner Gerard Lucey returned to take overall honours once again in his Toyota Special with a fastest time of 1:46.30, with David Forde second, and James Lucey third, on 1:47.21 and 1:48.14 respectively.

Willie Fitzgerald, JJ Lehane, Michael O'Connor, Joe Shinnors Snr., Gordon Percy and Jimmy Lucey took the class honours. Andrew Lehane won the Juniors category, Daniel O'Leary took the novice award, and Breda Piggot won the ladies class.
